To be eligible for the Port-Harcourt Polytechnic Post UTME, candidates must have chosen the institution as their first choice during the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 160. Only candidates who meet these criteria are qualified to apply for the screening exercise.
Qualified candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 (Two thousand naira) via the university’s official portal: https://www.portharcourtpoly.edu.ng/. The application can be completed online or in person at the school campus. Online payment can be made using acceptable debit cards (Visa, Verve, or Master Card) or by printing the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) slip and paying at any commercial bank listed on the portal.
After completing the application, candidates are to submit the following original documents at the screening centers:
- O’ level results
- JAMB result/acknowledgment slip
- A’ level results, diploma, or IJMB (if applicable)
- O’level certificate/statement of result(s)
- 2 Passport Photographs
- Indigene letter
- Certificate of birth/declaration of age
These credentials should be neatly packed in a quarto-size envelope, labeled with the candidate’s name, department, and JAMB registration number.
